The Faces of SGT
The Sleeping Giant name is from the ridge south of Livingston, that portrays a realistic sculpture of a face looking upward to the sky. Its towering peaks and bowls fuel the waters of the Yellowstone River. Matt and LaRue both grew up in Livingston, Montana, and have spent thousands of hours on the rivers and in the mountains.
The river was, and still is, a haven to escape, whether it’s whitewater, scenic, fishing, or the traditional island camping trip with the kids. Their experience knowledge of the area is what makes their trips unique to others.
Their goal, through SGT, is to educate people on the ecosystem of the Greater Yellowstone Basin, while providing a recreational outlet with memories that will last a lifetime.
